Ellison: Linux will wipe Microsoft out of the data center – Computerworld

On the heels of my previous post, and just to illustrate the point that open source is a signifigant challenge to MS, is this article from Computerworld. In the end, neither Larry nor the article really said anything new or unheard of; just reinforces my opinion that anyone using IIS is crazy in the head.

On a side tangent, I love watching other open source projects (Linux, OpenOffice) continue to chip away at MS. Since Mac OS X is a Unix-compatible operating system, all of a sudden I have access to this library of open source software, right at a time when the movement is experiencing considerable growth and maturation. Yay Apple.
