Now that ‘cuse has finally won the Big One in an exciting fashion, it’s time to tally the totals for the 850th Almost Annual Adams Family NCAA Division I Men’s BB Tournament Pick’em!!! (whew)

In what will undoubtedly be a hotly disputed tally (once she sees this post), Kyle eeked out Kelly, 93 to 92.

Kelly:

  1. 26 correct picks x 1 pt/each + 5 upset pts = 31 pts
  2. 12 correct picks x 2 pts/each + 2 upset pts = 26 pts
  3. 7 correct picks x 3 pts/each = 21 pts
  4. 1 correct pick x 4 pts/each = 4 pts
  5. 0 correct picks x 5 pts/each = 0 pts
  6. 1 correct pick x 10 pts/each = 10 pts

Kyle

  1. 27 correct picks x 1 pt/each + 6 upset pts = 33 pts
  2. 9 correct picks x 2 pts/each + 1 upset pt = 19 pts
  3. 6 correct picks x 3 pts/each = 18 pts
  4. 2 correct picks x 4 pts/each = 8 pts
  5. 1 correct pick x 5 pts/each = 5 pts
  6. 1 correct pick x 10 pts/each = 10 pts

It should be noted that I’d only done totals through round 3 before the championship game. When Kelly selected Syracuse, I decided to go with Syracuse as well so we could both cheer for the same team. Had I known that I was ahead by one point going into the last round, I might’ve picked differently (and lost :-)
