When we moved into our new house, there was a stack of nasty rotting firewood stacked next to the house. This was a bad spot for two reasons, the roof drained all the rainwater directly on it and it’s a fire hazard stacked against the house.
So I went to work building a thing to hold the wood off the ground in a neat stack. My first attempt took 2 hours and a lot of frustrations. My dad came over took one look at it and asked for the drill. It took him only 3 minutes to take it all back apart and 1 hour to build a much stronger model. So thanks to my dad there is a place to stack the lumber.
Meanwhile Kyle was hard at work chopping all the wood into pieces that will actually fit into the fireplace. So now we have a beautiful wood stack in our backyard near the fence. It dries the wood and is no longer a fire hazard. Now it will be much easier to pick wood for our frequent usage of our fireplace.
