I took “Ella”:http://www.kyleandkelly.com/photos/ella into the vet to be spayed today. She was cool with the whole experience until I started to walk out the door–it was as if realization suddenly set in that I was leaving her there, alone. Not really alone, but most anyone who’s sent their kids off to the first day of school knows what I mean.
Anyhow, she’ll be spending the night at the vets and Kelly and I will pick her up tomorrow.

This past weekend Kelly and I took a mini-vacation to Mackinac Island. The whole thing got started when I told Kelly I’d never been north of Traverse City. She was bound and determined to change that, so we hopped on the internet. We found that the best prices were in the off season, which began the last week of September.
The next few days we’ll post our experiences on the island, so check back daily; or if you prefer, drop me a line and I’ll make sure the entries get e-mailed to you.
Lately Alex has taken to charging Ella. The two of them have been being nice to each other. They share out of the same water dish and keep each other company all day. This charging though is, I am guessing, Alex’s way of playing with Ella. Alex runs at Ella while she is lying down and then vaults off Ella’s back. Ella always loves this. They are becoming good friends.
