Couch potatoes again New Weapon
Nov 30

On Tuesday… Ah well. Seems like a day late and a dollar short is becoming the norm for the holiday season.

As “blogged elsewhere”:http://www.livejournal.com/users/secretpineapple/80260.html, it was an eventful Thanksgiving for Kelly and I. I had two Thanksgiving dinners; one quickie with Kelly’s extended family on Thursday, and another with her immediate family and my immediate family (plus spouses) on Saturday.

We hosted the Saturday affair, which meant much menu planning, food purchasing, and house cleaning. It was actually quite good as I got motivated to knock off some home improvement tasks.

Jasper, Katie and Doug’s new puppy, was as cute as puppies can be, even with the “accidents”. He’s also quite docile, which came in handy when we snuck him into Barnes and Noble.

Peyton Manning’s record contract will ultimately be measured by whether he wins a Super Bowl for Indy. That said, I think most Colts fans have gotten quite a bit of entertainment value out of watching his incredible year. His stats in Madden 2005 will have to be through the roof good :-) Man, it’s been a lot of fun!

The other good news from the holiday weekend is that Kelly and I have lost a collective thirty one pounds. A whopping nineteen for Kelly and twelve for me; we joined a health-eating small group at church to help get our weight down where our doctors said it should be. Kelly’s also got a bet going with some fellow nurses–whoever loses the most weight by December 15 gets the $10 pot ($140 total).

Scribbles is under heavy spam comment attack. If you see comments for Texas Hold’em (or worse), bear with me. I try to clean them out on a regular basis, and I’m also looking for longer term solutions, but…

With the four wedding Kelly and I did video for in as many August weeks, I need to finish editing a video a week between now and Christmas. Fortuantely I learned this weekend, while dabling in a fun little side project, that you should never, ever, _ever_ turn off autosave on a Final Cut Express project.

    YAY, blogs for EVERYONE!

p.s. I like that the link to my blog is called “blah blah blah” when most of the others have a person’s name by them. That’s wicked cool.
