Plan B is one of the “morning after” emergency contraceptives currently being contested by pro-life advocates. *Stop it.* Unless you are a female who has never taken birth control (or for the husbands, if you have never encouraged your wife to take birth control for family planning purposes), then you are propogating a double standard.

Plan B is essentially a large dose of birth control to prevent ovulation (the release of an unfertalized egg). It is still disputed as to whether or not it, _or any other birth control pill_, might prevent a fertalized egg from attaching to the inner lining of the uterus. The point is that Plan B is no different from traditional birth control pills, and if you rely on those for family planning, you have no right opposing Plan B.

Note that Plan B is different from RU-486, which is a true abortion pill in that it specifically induces premature delivery of a fertalized egg.
