I'd have to say that Robertson has never impressed me as a good christian role model. Calling for another's assasination certainly would classify as going over the line. I'd be curious to see a transcript of the episode where he made the comment however. I could see it having been made in the context of using overexaggeration to make a point, which puts a very different spin on it. Still not wise, obviously, but not in the same light as the news stories are painting it.

I share a lot of your concern for the christian viewpoint and I see a worrying trend in "so called" christian experts who know next to nothing about the subject they are speaking on. Cloning, Stem Cells, Social issues being just a few of them. I wish that more of them took the time to become familiar with the subject matter before launching off into a diatribe just because it's a "hot-button" issue.

While I don't always completely agree with you I do appreciate your viewpoint and reasoning.

Robertson threatens everything Christians stand for. When I see people picketing with signs saying "God Hates Gay's" in front of military funerals, I think, thats the type of "Christian" Robertson has made. Its stupid considering how often Jesus said to love everyone even ones you would consider your enemy. Yet Robertson is all about stirring up hate. Just look around briefly for quotes by Pat Robertson and you will see what I mean.
