We have lately been spreading some exciting news. We are expecting!
It seems sureal still. Our due date is April 2, 2007. I currently have Kyle working on developing a web page devoted to my evergrowing leech. So check back in a while and I will try and include updates and registry info there. We made big progress this weekend getting a room de-junked to make room for a nursery. My mind is going a mile a minute and I already have a design picked out do decorate the nursery. We will be finding out whether our baby will be a boy or girl but we probably won’t have that news until November. This ultrasound picture was at 8 weeks. If you look closely you can differentiate the head from the body and you can see the tiny umbilical cord, but that’s about it.

Current cravings: Hot dogs, and as always A&W rootbeer.
Approximate size of baby: Lime or 3 inches

I KNEW it! Kyle gave it away months ago with his http://del.icio.us/kadams54/baby bookmarks. He tried to deny it though.
Oh yeah, congrats! Babies are fun

Actually Kelly was still on birth control when those bookmarks got added. All the baby bookmarks I added after we started trying got marked private so you’ve never even seen them. I added them for exactly the reason I claimed at the time: they were cool design items. Plus I knew we’d be starting a family sometime within the next five years. I just didn’t realize at the time that it would be so soon.

You know, they know what causes that now. I am always amazed at couples who say (after they started trying) “we just didn’t expect it so soon.” It only takes once dearies! Am very happy for you guys!

If there was some way to make snarky faces online, I’d be making one at Kathy right now.
For clarification: “I didn’t expect it so soon” was when I was bookmarking those sites, i.e. before Kelly stopped birth control. At that point in time, it was more a “sometime in the next five years” thing.
Once the birth control stopped, I had complete confidence in my boys’ swimming ability

Way to go. Now I won’t be in my rocking chair when I’m a Great Gramma. I can’t wait for this blessed event. I hate to rush my life, but wish it was April already.
Lots and lots of love,
Gramma
